Mark Barrett: Mark is the president of Barrett & Associates. His proudest achievement is his relationship with his family. He has been married for over 20 years and has been working with his wife and best friend since 1994. His first position was with his family's agency, when he was 12 years old. The first commercial insurance policy he wrote was for a manufactured housing community in 1981. The Barrett family has had an insurance agency in Bloomfield Hills/Pontiac for over 35 years (Hempstead Barrett & Associates). They have specialized in the manufactured housing industry and currently own two manufactured housing communities. Barrett & Associates Inc. was started in 1994 with the idea of continuing the family tradition of developing insurance products and coverage customized for the needs of their clients. Mark is currently an instructor for the State of Michigan Continuing Education Department in the field of prefabricated building installation and service. Mark has served on the following boards: Mutual Insurance Corporation of America Advisory Board, Chairman Michigan Association of Recreation Vehicle and Campground Board of Directors, President Michigan Manufactured Housing and RV & Campground Association Executive Board of Directors, Treasurer Country Club of Boyne Advisory Board American Modern Insurance Group Advisory Board HARVEST Education Board, President Mark graduated from Central Michigan University with a Bachelors of Science in Finance and Marketing. He has certificates from Michigan State University, Drake University and Oberlin College, designation of Certified Insurance Counselor and a Surplus Lines License. Mark enjoys his free time on the golf course Devra Barrett - has been working in commercial insurance for over 15 years. She attended the University of Kentucky majoring in Business Administration. She currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Independent Insurance Agents of Oakland County and on the Instar Users Group board (insurance agency operating system). She is a member of the Insurance Association of Metropolitan Detroit (IAMD) and National Association of Insurance Woman (NAIW). She has the designations of Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR). We are proud members of the Michigan Manufactured Housing Association. MMHA is a nonprofit trade association representing the manufactured housing industry in Michigan.
